This property exudes so much peace and love that yours truly almost chose to stay there.
The lady of the house is a widely appreciated and loved folk singer and comedienne who can recall wonderful memories of her collaboration with John Lodge and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues (Nights in White Satin, Question,. ) , her UK tour with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons (Sherry, Big girls don't cry) , her meeting with Bob Dylan (THE Bob Dylan!) at Albert Hall, where she got him to sign a Fender Folk guitar and then auction it off for charity, her performances for the British troops, and so on, and so on....
But let's talk about the property :
Tucked away at the end of a quiet hamlet, it accommodates a spacious living space with double patio doors giving access to the leafy south-facing terrace that might have inspired Monet and thus recalls the nickname of our beloved South Charente : the Tuscany of France!
From the living room, one goes via the TV room to the kitchen and 3 ground-floor rooms and the veranda or to the 3 other bedrooms on the first floor.
In the wooded garden we find 2 garages of which at least one is asking to serve as additional guest accommodation.
Double glazing, a good septic tank and electric central heating complemented by wood-burning stoves provide all the necessary comfort through all seasons.
In short : a well hidden and concealed gem now in need of the next enjoyer with or without musical aspirations.
